Kevin Durant's signature line reaches its 19th chapter, and Nike is making sure it lands with the same precision KD brings to a mid-range jumper. The Nike KD19 was unveiled on-court today, March 16, and it's the most technically ambitious KD shoe in years — built around the return of a full-length Zoom Strobel, a pinnacle Nike Basketball cushioning technology that first appeared in the KD12. Paired with a 3D-molded sock liner and a Cushlon 3.0 midsole, the KD19 prioritizes that effortless, low-to-the-ground feel that matches how Durant actually plays: smooth, controlled, deceptively dangerous.
The shoe's defining visual element is an exterior TPU dagger — constructed via a dual-injection process — that references Durant's "Slim Reaper" persona directly. The first injection delivers heel and midfoot lockdown; the second sculpts the blade-like silhouette shape that makes the KD19 instantly recognizable on and off the court. A midfoot shank adds structural stability, and KD-specific detailing — including a combination of his #35 and #7 jersey numbers on the outsole — rounds out the design. The KD19 drops June 13 exclusively on SNKRS before a global launch on June 17.
This just might be KDs best sneaker yet.
