The Nike Kobe Air Force 1 Low Protro "Daybreak" releases Thursday, May 21, 2026, on Nike.com and at select Nike Sportswear retailers for $120, style code IB0018-102. It is the second colorway of the Kobe x Air Force 1 collaboration in May, following the "Denim" pair that lands the next day at a $30 markup.
The Design
The build is a Summit White leather upper with a tonal snakeskin overlay — the same Mamba print Kobe wore through the back half of his career — and Daybreak purple hits on the sockliner, outsole, tongue label, and lateral heel sheath branding. The "8" and "24" jersey-number tabs on the heel pulls also get the Daybreak treatment, giving the pair a built-in dawn-to-dusk read against the white base.
What "Daybreak" Means
Daybreak is the soft purple shade Nike used across Kobe's Lakers-era signature line as a quieter counter to the louder gold-and-purple PEs. The shade has been used sparingly across the Kobe rerelease run, which restarted in 2024 and has accelerated through 2026 as Vanessa Bryant's Kobe Inc. has expanded the Air Force 1 sub-line beyond pure performance silhouettes.
Availability
This is a general release, not a SNKRS-exclusive draw. Nike's Air Force 1 program is the brand's largest by volume, and the Kobe collaboration sits inside it as a numbered family rather than as a one-off — pairs should be available at Nike.com, Foot Locker, Hibbett, and the broader Sportswear network from Thursday morning, with a restock window that typically extends two to three months for the Air Force 1 line.
What's Next
The "Denim" colorway follows Friday at $150. Both pairs round out the May calendar for the Kobe x Air Force 1 family ahead of a quieter June, when the Kobe signature program shifts back to the on-court silhouettes.
