Before the championships, before the championships rings, before the Mamba Mentality became a cultural mantra — there was Lower Merion High School in Ardmore, Pennsylvania. On March 23rd, Nike and Kobe Brand are honoring that foundation with a full Lower Merion Aces collection, anchored by the re-release of the Kobe 5 Protro "Aces Away" and the introduction of a brand-new silhouette in the Kobe lineage: the Dunk Low "Lower Merion Aces".

The Nike Kobe Dunk Low Protro "Lower Merion Aces Away" (Style Code: IM0581-600, $135) is the headliner for lifestyle collectors. Built in Team Red satin, premium leather, chenille, and mesh to match the Aces' away uniforms from Kobe's era, the shoe carries a full suite of Bryant-specific details — his #33 Lower Merion jersey number embroidered at the lateral heel, his signature on the heel tab, and the Kobe sheath logo replacing Nike's standard tongue branding.
A ReactX drop-in midsole and performance-inspired tongue construction modernize the 41-year-old silhouette. Hidden inside the tongue: a Kobe quote — "Friends hang sometimes." The Dunk Low will be available via SNKRS Reserve (pre-order style) on March 23rd at 10 AM ET, with pairs shipping by July 25th. The Kobe 5 Protro "Lower Merion Aces Away" (Style Code: IM0557-001) drops the same day for $200 via SNKRS and Nike Basketball retailers, joined by two Air Force 1 Low colorways in Home and Away splits. The full collection marks the Dunk Low's first entry into the Kobe lifestyle lineup — a significant expansion of how Nike is carrying the Mamba legacy into a new generation.
