Nike SB x Air Jordan 4 Pine Green
Releases 3/21 at 10:00 AM via SNKRs
The Nike SB x AJ4 celebrates one of the greatest duos to play the sneaker game—the late Sandy Boedecker (it isn't called Nike SB for nothing) and the legendary designer Tinker Hatfield. Working together, the pair created the buzzer-beating icon that not only propelled MJ along on his journey, but transcended basketball to alter pop culture and street culture forever.
About Air Jordan 4
The Air Jordan IV was released to the public by Nike in December 1988, with four colorways available: White/Black, Black/Cement Grey, White/Fire Red-Black, and Off White/Military Blue. Designed by Tinker Hatfield, it was the first Air Jordan model to be released globally. The shoe was promoted by featuring director and actor Spike Lee, who had also included it in his movie "Do The Right Thing."
During Game 5 of the 1989 NBA First Round, Michael Jordan famously wore the Air Jordan IV when he made "The Shot," which led to the Chicago Bulls winning the series against the Cleveland Cavaliers. In 2012, a "Cavs" colorway of the shoe was released as a tribute to this event.
