Nike is putting Paige Bueckers' GT Cut 4 "Shirley Buckets" into public circulation at $210. The shoe started as a player edition — a pair built for one athlete rather than a retail run — and is now on the SNKRS app and at select Nike Basketball retailers; SneakerFiles lists Nike and DSG as the retailers. The style code is IX2111-600. Nice Kicks and SneakerFiles both list the colorway as Laser Crimson/Metallic Silver/Life Lime/Sport Red.
Outlets split on the release date by a day. Footwear News and SneakerFiles list August 5. Sneaker Bar Detroit, House of Heat and Nice Kicks list August 6. Either way the pair is out now.
The drink came first
The design is a Shirley Temple rendered in shoe form. Cherry red covers most of the upper, with a softer pink on the medial side. The lateral panels carry a graphic of red syrup dispersing into clear soda, bubbles rising off the midsole and spreading up the side of the shoe. A Life Lime outsole reads as the lime wedge. Two cherries sit on each heel, stems crossed, and the fruit is stamped with a "P" and a "5" — her initial and her Dallas Wings jersey number.
Bueckers has talked about Shirley Temples for years. Gatorade, which signed her to an NIL deal in November 2021 while she was still at UConn, made the reference literal in June 2025 during her WNBA rookie season by producing a limited Shirley Temple Gatorade Thirst Quencher flavor for her, per House of Heat. The sneaker follows the flavor by more than a year.
The collaboration extends past the shoe. Gatorade and Nike built a co-branded package around it: a Shirley Temple Gatorade bottle carrying "P5" branding, a Nike tee with a receipt-inspired "Buckets On Tap" graphic, and custom towels, per House of Heat. "Buckets on Tap" plays on "Paige Buckets," the nickname she has carried since college.
Bueckers does not have a signature shoe
The GT Cut is a Nike team model, not a named signature line. Her shoe is a player edition of it, now sold at retail.
She has been down this road before. In December 2024, while still at UConn, Bueckers released the G.T. Hustle 3, which Nike calls "the first Nike Player Edition shoe celebrating an NIL athlete." "Shirley Buckets" arrives with a Rookie of the Year season and a beverage partner attached.
Caitlin Clark's Nike Caitlin 1 is a full signature model with its own rollout calendar, and Sabrina Ionescu's line is on its fourth signature shoe. Bueckers, the reigning Rookie of the Year per Footwear News, is on a team model. The Uristocrat survey of the 2026 NBA and WNBA signature shoe landscape counted 33 athletes across 16 brands. Bueckers ran near the top of the first 2026 WNBA All-Star fan returns alongside A'ja Wilson.
