PRIZM Art Fair is an annual contemporary art fair that focuses on showcasing the work of artists from African and Afro-Diaspora communities. Established in 2013 and typically held during Miami Art Week, PRIZM aims to broaden the spectrum of representation within the global contemporary art market by spotlighting emerging, underrepresented, and established artists whose practices are tied to the cultures and narratives of the African Diaspora.
The fair provides an inclusive platform not only to exhibit artworks but also to foster critical dialogue through curated panels, artist talks, and community-based programming. In doing so, PRIZM seeks to champion cultural equity in the art world, broaden collectors’ awareness, and empower artists and galleries that share a commitment to the evolving canon of African Diaspora art practices.
The 2024 fair was anchored by PRIZM Panels, curated and hosted by Thomas James and coordinated by Heike Dempster, and concluded with an Art Week close-out party hosted by REVOLT HOUSE, featuring music by DJ Peexweezy, DJ Vybes, and Silent Addy.

Prizm is thankful to have supported the National Memorial of Peace and Justice and Detroit Institute of the Arts acquisitions of works by Joseph Eze, Olaniyi Omotayo, and Robert Carter, represented by Dozie Arts. Prizm is thankful for the Equal Justice Initiative and the DIA's support of these acquisitions and look forward to learning about their positioning in institutional exhibitions and community engagement that spark and continue critical dialogue around Africa and its Diaspora's contributions to our history, past, present, and future.
