The Las Vegas Raiders have fired head coach Pete Carroll after one season, the team announced Monday.
Carroll, 74, finished 3-14 in his only season with the Raiders. The team ended the year with a 10-game losing streak before defeating the Kansas City Chiefs 14-12 in Sunday's season finale.
The Raiders secured the No. 1 overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft with their record, which tied for the worst in the league. The team averaged 14.2 points per game, the lowest in the NFL.
General manager John Spytek will remain with the organization and lead football operations in collaboration with minority owner Tom Brady. The two will oversee the search for the team's next head coach.
The Raiders fired offensive coordinator Chip Kelly and special teams coordinator Tom McMahon during the season. Quarterback Geno Smith, acquired via trade and signed to a two-year, $75 million extension in April, led the league with 17 interceptions.
This marks the fourth head coaching search for the Raiders since 2022.
