ROSÉ will release her new solo single "new trick" on September 17 at 7 PM ET, with a music video shot entirely on Apple's iPhone 18 Pro and directed by Dave Meyers, Bandwagon reports.
The video is part of Apple's Shot on iPhone campaign, which has previously featured music videos from The Weeknd, Olivia Rodrigo and Lady Gaga. Meyers has directed videos for Taylor Swift, Harry Styles and Kendrick Lamar.
The Apple timing
Apple unveiled the iPhone 18 Pro at its September 9 event, alongside the iPhone Duo, which starts at $1,999, as we covered in the September 11 Daily Roundup. Per that roundup, the iPhone 18 Pro starts at $1,199 and the 18 Pro Max at $1,299. The Pro's camera system includes a new 48MP Fusion Main camera with variable aperture. ROSÉ's teaser posted September 10, one day after the launch, according to ContentGrip.
The song
The teaser shows ROSÉ holding a purple-burgundy lollipop over distorted electric guitar and layered vocals. The single follows her debut solo album, rosie, released in December 2024, which included "APT." with Bruno Mars. That song reached No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100, per Bandwagon.
