The Nike Kobe 3 Low Protro "Mamba Magic" Arrives March 13

Six years after his death, Nike is releasing the Kobe 3 Low Protro in a pale pink palette called "Mamba Magic" — a $190 drop that says as much about who's buying Kobes in 2026 as it does about the shoe itself.

The Nike Kobe 3 Low Protro "Mamba Magic" Arrives March 13

Six years after his death, Kobe Bryant's sneaker line is having one of its most commercially active stretches in memory. The Nike Kobe 3 Low Protro "Mamba Magic" arrives Friday at $190.

The "Mamba Magic" lands in a pale Doll/White/Pink Foam palette — soft, almost feminine in its construction, and entirely at odds with what most people associate with Kobe's aesthetic identity. Bryant was Black Mamba, not Mamba Pastel. But the choice is deliberate. Nike has been extending the Kobe line into style registers that the late Laker never personally occupied — not out of disrespect, but out of a recognition that the consumer wearing Kobes in 2026 is not necessarily the consumer who watched him play. It's the same logic that governs every heritage line, from Air Jordans to Reeboks.
