Jordan Brand is bringing back the Air Jordan 10 "Knicks" in Fall 2027, according to Sneaker Bar Detroit, which reported the release on September 9. Adult pairs will retail for $215 through Jordan Brand retailers and Nike SNKRS. It is the first retro release the original 1995 colorway has ever received.
The "Knicks" pair belonged to the Air Jordan 10 City Series, a 1995 run that assigned a colorway to five NBA markets — Chicago, Sacramento, Seattle, New York and Orlando. Every other original from that group has come back at some point in the three decades since. New York never did.
What the City Series was
The City Series arrived at an unusual moment for the model. The Air Jordan 10 was designed and released while Michael Jordan was retired from basketball, and the five city colorways honored markets rather than a player who, at the time, was not playing. The outsole of the shoe carries a list of Jordan's career achievements.
Jordan returned in March 1995 and wore the Air Jordan 10 for the rest of that season, including the game at Madison Square Garden where he scored 55 points against the Knicks while wearing No. 45. That game was played on March 28, 1995.
What the 2027 pair looks like
Sneaker Bar Detroit describes a build that stays close to the original: white leather across the upper, black on the ankle, eyestays, tongue, midsole and heel Jumpman, blue on the lining and portions of the outsole, and orange on the Jumpman underfoot. Blue and orange are the only places the Knicks palette appears,.
The $215 price matches where Jordan Brand has settled its retro Air Jordan 10 line. The Air Jordan 10 "Red Steel" is priced identically for its March 20, 2027 release, putting two Air Jordan 10 retros on the 2027 calendar at the same tier.
No style code has been released, and Fall 2027 is a window rather than a date, so both remain subject to change more than a year out.
New York's run
The announcement lands during a strong stretch for New York basketball product. Jordan Brand released the Air Jordan 3 "Knicks" via pre-order at the same $215 earlier this year, and the team won its first NBA title in 53 years in June, beating the Spurs 94-90 in Game 5. A 2027 window means the "Knicks" 10 arrives well after that moment rather than alongside it.
