Awake NY's third collaboration with Jordan Brand arrives August 29, when the Air Jordan 6 "Playful Pink" releases for $230 under style code IQ5706-600. The pair releases through Awake NY with special packaging, and potentially at select retailers and via SNKRS, according to SneakerFiles.
The official colorway reads Playful Pink/Infrared 23-Shy Pink-Arctic Pink. Those three pinks are split across panels rather than blended, with the lighter Shy Pink and Arctic Pink tones set against the saturated Playful Pink. Infrared 23 supplies the contrast, hitting the lace lock, the heel branding and a speckled section of the midsole. Awake NY's script "A" sits on the midfoot cage panel, and the heels carry Nike Air and AWAKE NY branding stacked above a black midsole and a translucent outsole.
The "Midnight Navy" pair follows in September
"Playful Pink" is one half of a two-shoe pack. The companion "Midnight Navy" — style code IQ5706-400, colorway Midnight Navy/Infrared 23-Game Royal-Light Blue — is scheduled for September at the same $230. Dark navy covers its collar and heel, with lighter blue tones across the midfoot, laces and overlays, and Infrared stitching throughout. Both pairs carry the same Infrared 23 accents.
Awake NY's third Jordan release
Angelo Baque founded Awake NY in 2012 while he was still Supreme's brand director, a role he left in 2016. Before Supreme he worked at Stussy — his first streetwear job, at 21 — and then Nom De Guerre. Per JustFreshKicks, Awake's early footwear work ran through Asics, Reebok and Vans before Jordan Brand.
The Jordan partnership started in 2024 with the Air Ship, the Nike model Michael Jordan wore before the Air Jordan 1 existed. The Air Jordan 5 followed in 2025 and introduced the Playful Pink palette that this Air Jordan 6 revives. The Air Jordan 6 itself first released in 1991, making 2026 the silhouette's 35th year.
August 29 is a shared date on Jordan Brand's calendar: the Air Jordan 9 OG "Space Jam" returns the same day for $215, tied to the film's 30th anniversary. The Awake pair also lands three weeks after the Air Jordan 6 "Oreo," which came back August 8 for $215 in its first retro since 2010. The $230 price matches the Air Jordan 3 "Laser," which drops August 22.
