Edison Chen's CLOT and adidas release the Superstar "Unity Orange" on July 25 for $200, the first CLOT Superstar to carry Minnesota Timberwolves guard Anthony Edwards. The pair carries style code KK1388 and arrives via adidas.com and the CONFIRMED app, with select retailers to follow, per Sneaker Bar Detroit.
CLOT and adidas Originals announced a global partnership in October 2023, and the Superstar became their first collaborative footwear drop under that deal, launching in February 2024 through JUICE Store, adidas.com, and the CONFIRMED app. Chen founded CLOT as a Hong Kong streetwear label in 2003. Edwards' own AE 1 signature line, a separate deal from the CLOT partnership, debuted in late 2023.
The shoe keeps the Superstar's white leather upper and ribbed shell toe, then breaks it up with dark brown Three Stripes and a matching dark brown heel tab. A bright orange leather strip circles the lower edge of the shoe with visible contrast stitching, and gold hardware marks the tongue branding and lace tips. The insoles are co-branded in orange, stamped with the adidas trefoil and CLOT's circular logo in gold. CLOT swaps the standard Superstar cupsole for a thicker, layered platform with brown-and-white striping along the sidewall, set on a cream sawtooth outsole that gives the shoe a heavier, more aggressive profile than the retail model.
The "Unity Orange" colorway is the latest chapter in Chen's ongoing illustrated "anime world," a narrative built with artist Annie Choi that has previously placed CLOT collaborators inside a stylized universe through projects like the brand's Mundial Collection. This release puts Edwards in that world for the first time. He and Chen previously collaborated on a friends-and-family adidas AE 1 Low outside of Edwards' retail signature line, which has run through colorways like the AE 2 "Christmas".
It's also CLOT's second logged KK1388 Superstar colorway of 2026, following a white, coffee, and orange pair released earlier this year. adidas has leaned on the Superstar as a canvas for athlete collaborators elsewhere this year too: Damian Lillard's "Dame Time" Superstar tied his own clutch-shooting reputation to the silhouette for NBA All-Star Weekend in Oakland. CLOT's adidas partnership itself has ranged beyond the Superstar, including the brand's Qi Flow silhouette built for Lunar New Year 2026, a kung fu-inspired departure from its usual archive reworks.
