Monday's headliner is the only thing that matters in the sports world right now: the Knicks can go up 3-0 in the NBA Finals. Around it sits a deep MLB schedule, a national ESPN game in San Diego, and two WNBA games including Caitlin Clark on the road. Here's what to watch and where.
Marquee: San Antonio Spurs at New York Knicks, NBA Finals Game 3 (8:30 PM EDT, ABC)
The Knicks stole both games in San Antonio and come home holding a 2-0 lead over the team that won 62 games in the regular season. No team in NBA history has come back from 3-0, so Game 3 is the whole season for the Spurs. Victor Wembanyama has the box scores, 29 in Game 2, but a late turnover and a missed shot at the end cost San Antonio a 105-104 game. New York's edge has been Karl-Anthony Towns, who put up 21 and 13 on 8-of-12 shooting in Game 2 and has been the best two-way player in the series. Jalen Brunson runs the offense, and a raucous MSG crowd that hasn't seen a Finals home game in a generation will not make life easy on a young Spurs team. San Antonio has to win this one or the series is effectively over.

- Indiana Fever at Washington Mystics (7:00 PM EDT). Caitlin Clark and the Fever go on the road against a young Mystics group. Indiana is healthy with no injuries on the report, which has not always been the case this season. Clark's pull-up range travels anywhere, so the TV pick is easy.
- New York Liberty at Connecticut Sun (7:00 PM EDT). The defending champion Liberty are without Sabrina Ionescu, which changes how they create shots. Connecticut is short-handed too with Edwards out. A division matchup that's tighter than the standings suggest.
- Philadelphia Phillies at Toronto Blue Jays (7:07 PM EDT). Two lineups that can do damage in a hitter-friendly park. Both clubs are jockeying in their divisions, so the at-bats carry weight even in June.
- New York Yankees at Cleveland Guardians (6:40 PM EDT). The Yankees keep grinding through the AL East gauntlet. Cleveland's pitching and contact-heavy lineup make this a different kind of test than the bash-it-out games New York usually plays.
- Cincinnati Reds at San Diego Padres (9:40 PM EDT, ESPN). The night's national MLB game. Yu Darvish is out for San Diego, but the Padres lineup and Petco's late-night vibe make this the West Coast watch. Cincinnati's young arms get a road test in a tough park.
- Seattle Storm at Las Vegas Aces (10:00 PM EDT). Both teams are banged up, with Magbegor out for Seattle and Evans out for Las Vegas. The Aces at home are still must-watch whenever the roster is anywhere near full.
The thread tonight is simple. One game can end a Finals before it really begins, and a young Spurs team has to answer on the road or watch the Knicks plant a flag. Everything else is the long grind of a June Monday, with baseball running till past midnight on the coast. Set the DVR for 8:30.
