New York Giants tight end Theo Johnson attended the Knicks-Hawks game at Madison Square Garden on Friday night despite being ruled out for Sunday's season finale against the Dallas Cowboys with an illness. Johnson appeared on the arena's jumbotron and later posted on Instagram, "I am not sick."

The Giants stated Johnson has a non-contagious infection, not the flu or COVID. Johnson missed the Week 17 win over the Las Vegas Raiders with the same illness and did not practice all week. The 3-13 Giants currently hold the No. 2 pick in the 2026 NFL Draft. They can still secure the No. 1 pick with a loss to Dallas, a Raiders win over Kansas City, and at least 1½ combined wins from the Falcons, Bears, Browns, and Seahawks. A Giants win could drop them as low as No. 7 in the draft order.
