Plastic Labs is building Honcho — AI-native memory and identity infrastructure for agents. Backed by Mozilla Ventures, Greycroft, and Betaworks. 11 people, frontier AI research, cognitive science roots.

They need their first Growth Hacker to own how developers discover, evaluate, and adopt Honcho — content, social, events, and internal tooling.

  • Company: Plastic Labs (Honcho)
  • Location: NYC, in-person (5 days/week)
  • Compensation: $175K–$225K base + 0.4–0.8% equity + substantial monthly budget
  • Stage: Seed-stage, 11 employees
  • Backers: Mozilla Ventures, Greycroft, Betaworks

What makes a good fit

  • 3+ years in growth marketing, specifically for developer tools or AI infra
  • Technical enough to understand developer workflows and speak the language
  • Have shipped content, run hackathons, or built developer communities
  • Comfortable owning budget, defining metrics, and running experiments independently
  • Based in or willing to relocate to NYC
  • Builder mindset — you use AI agents to create internal tooling, not just talk about it

What doesn't

  • B2C or consumer growth background only
  • Needs a content team to execute — this is a solo operator role to start
  • Remote only
