About the role

You'll lead Square's Trust and Safety strategy end to end, unifying the Risk and Identity organizations into a cohesive force. The role spans Identity Verification, Risk Management, Disputes, Fraud Prevention, Compliance, and Internal Tooling — building seller trust across the full lifecycle while balancing access against fraud.

What you'll do

  • Bring a Square-wide perspective on Trust and Safety to strategic planning, and unify the Risk and Identity organizations into a cohesive force.
  • Lead product teams across Identity Verification, Risk Management, Disputes, Fraud Prevention, Compliance, and Internal Tooling.
  • Own the primary strategic initiative to build seller trust throughout the seller lifecycle.
  • Engage with regulatory bodies and external partners on strategic integrations.
  • Drive accountability for Risk Loss Rate and Seller Trust metrics.
  • Validate product strategies through seller research, experimentation, and regulatory analysis, and drive cross-functional execution across Product, Engineering, Compliance, Legal, and Operations.

Your profile

  • 8+ years of product management experience, including leading product teams across multiple product areas.
  • Track record in platform or infrastructure product development.
  • Experience with trust & safety, risk, identity, or compliance products.
  • Proven cross-functional alignment, with experience managing regulatory requirements and compliance-driven development.
  • Payments or fintech product experience preferred; background in fraud prevention, identity verification, or KYC/AML a plus.
