KAWS is releasing FELLOWS, his newest vinyl figure, on Tuesday, July 28 at 12 p.m. ET through his own retailer, KAWSONE. The artist, born Brian Donnelly, first revealed the piece in an Instagram post on July 13, and the official announcement confirms a three-colorway lineup — black, pink, and blue — dropping at noon Eastern.
What FELLOWS is
FELLOWS is a mashup of KAWS's own cast of characters. The 11.2-inch vinyl figure combines a headless BFF body that holds the head of Companion while stepping on a severed arm from Chum — three of the artist's signature creations fused into one sculpture. It carries the details that define his work: the X-marked eyes, oversized cartoon hands and feet, a textured, fur-like surface on the body, and a red circular accent at the crown. Each of the three colorways renders the whole figure in a single tone, from all-black to pink to blue.
The drop
The release goes live at noon Eastern on July 28 via KAWSONE, with collectible-art outlets also listing SpaceK, KAWS's Asia-facing store, as a stockist. The figure is reported to retail for $96, in line with the artist's recent open-format vinyls, though KAWS has not announced an edition size. His KAWSONE figures typically sell during a set window rather than as numbered limited editions.
KAWS's 2026 release run
FELLOWS lands in a stretch of near-constant KAWS activity. The artist has spent 2026 moving between the toy shelf and the institution — from a KAWS x MLB collection for the Yankees and Dodgers to a planned takeover of the New York Botanical Garden in 2027. His vinyl figures sit at the accessible end of a market that runs up to seven-figure sculptures and paintings, and the fandom around them is large enough to become a culture-war flashpoint — Justin Bieber's "SWAG" this summer reignited a feud over a jab at "bitter old men who collect KAWS dolls." At $96, FELLOWS is a low-cost entry point into that world.
