LeBron James will wear a commemorative jersey patch this season to mark his record 23rd year in the NBA.
The patch features a silhouette of James' signature pregame chalk toss routine and incorporates the colors of all the teams he has played for during his career—the Cleveland Cavaliers, Miami Heat, and Los Angeles Lakers.
James is the first player in NBA history to reach 23 seasons, surpassing the previous record of 22 seasons shared by Vince Carter and Kevin Garnett.
The Lakers forward began his NBA career with Cleveland as the first overall pick in the 2003 draft. He has since won four NBA championships across three franchises and continues to play at an elite level at the age of 40.
