Spotify removed approximately 25 million streams from 21 Savage's album "What Happened to the Streets?" on February 1, 2026. The adjustment affected every track on the project, according to reports from music data trackers.

The streaming platform has not provided an official explanation for the removal. The action comes amid speculation about potential bot activity and questions about streaming integrity, though no formal accusation has been made.

"What Happened to the Streets?" was released in December 2025 and debuted at number three on the Billboard 200, earning 73,000 album-equivalent units in its first week. The project features collaborations with Young Nudy, Latto, Drake, GloRilla, G Herbo, Metro Boomin, Lil Baby, and Jawan Harris.

According to DJ Akademiks, 21 Savage denied using bots to inflate stream numbers, saying, "Why the f*ck would I bot 25 million?" The rapper suggested the claim was unfounded.

Following the adjustment, "MR RECOUP" leads the album with over 31 million streams, followed by "WHERE YOU FROM" with more than 12 million streams. The album's early Billboard projections showed unusual fluctuations, moving from 53,000 to 90,000 before settling at 73,000.
