Nike will release the FC Barcelona x Nike Kobe 3 Low Protro on September 4, 2026, for $200. The shoe carries style code IO6257-001 in a Black/Metallic Gold/Electro Purple colorway and arrives as part of the club's 26/27 away collection with Nike Basketball.
The shoe
The Kobe 3 Low Protro sits on a largely monochrome black upper, with Electro Purple leather on the toebox carrying onto the net-shaped TPU shell across the side panels, the mesh tongue and the outsole. A metallic gold Swoosh runs across the heel and matches the FC Barcelona logo on the tongue.
The shoe was unveiled by UCLA basketball player Nikola Kusturica, a former Barcelona player, and sits within Nike Basketball's "Droppin' Gems" collection.
The rest of the collection
A companion FC Barcelona x Nike Kobe Dunk Low Protro, style code IV7508-001 in Black/Field Purple, is currently listed for September 4 at $135 by Madrid retailer Noirfonce; JustFreshKicks notes Nike and FC Barcelona have not officially announced it. It is built on a black leather base with glossy patent leather overlays and purple patent leather on the Swooshes and heel panels. The wider 26/27 away lineup adds training shirts, quarter-zip tops and shorts carrying the Kobe sword-and-sheath logo alongside the Barcelona crest, with a purple gradient that references the club's away jersey.
Why Barcelona
Bryant spent much of his childhood in Italy while his father Joe played professionally there, and picked up football in that period. He supported FC Barcelona and was photographed in a Barça shirt on more than one occasion, a connection the club and Nike have built product around since. Uristocrat covered the Nike Kobe 4 Protro FC Barcelona in 2025 and the club's Kobe Bryant away kit, which launched globally on July 31 for $140.
