FC Barcelona's 2026-27 Kobe Bryant away kit goes on global sale July 31 at Nike.com and select Nike retail, priced at $140 for the standard replica jersey and $205 for the Player Edition. The club presented the kit first at its own Barça Stores on July 24.
Nike and the Kobe Bryant Estate said the shirt is built around a gradient that runs from black at the shoulders into "Field Purple" at the hem — the same purple long tied to the Lakers — with gold and iridescent detailing on the crest and a snakeskin-textured "Mamba" pattern worked into the sleeves. Inside the collar, hidden from view on the pitch, is a line from Bryant: "Leave the game better than you found it." FC Barcelona's own release credits Nike's Dri-FIT ADV and AeroSwift fabrics for the shirt's cooling performance. Matching shorts run $70 for the standard version and $90 for the Player Edition.
This is the second season of the Nike–FC Barcelona–Kobe Bryant Estate partnership. Last year's edition put Bryant's name on footwear rather than the kit itself, with the Nike Kobe 4 Protro "FC Barcelona" released in navy and crimson blaugrana tones. This year the collaboration runs the other direction: Kobe's Mamba branding moves onto the shirt, while a companion sneaker carries the club's colors instead.
That companion shoe is the FC Barcelona x Kobe Bryant x Nike Dunk Low Protro "Black/Field Purple" (style code IV7508-001), which Sneaker Bar Detroit pictured in its first-look post in late July. It releases September 4 for $135 in men's sizing only. The shoe pairs a black nubuck upper with glossy patent leather overlays, a University Purple Swoosh, metallic gold branding on the tongue and heel, and a purple embroidered Kobe "Sheath" logo on the lateral heel. It runs on the same Dunk Low Protro platform Nike used in June for the "Charlotte to LA" colorway marking the 30th anniversary of Bryant's draft night, and it follows the Kobe 3 Low Protro "Mambacita" onto shelves this year as the estate keeps working through the Protro catalog.
Nike's newsroom release also lists an FC Barcelona x Kobe 3 Low as part of the same rollout, alongside training apparel — a jacket, T-shirts, a hoodie, joggers and wide-leg pants — carrying the same black-and-purple palette as the kit. Nike's campaign for the release features Barça first-team players including Alejandro Balde, Frenkie de Jong, Gavi and Pedri on the men's side, and Claudia Pina, Ewa Pajor and Patri Guijarro on the women's side, shot in the kit alongside archival Bryant imagery.
