Hockey owns the night. The Stanley Cup Final opens in Raleigh, and around it sits a full 15-game baseball slate plus four WNBA games to close things out on the West Coast. Here's what's worth your time.
Marquee: Vegas Golden Knights at Carolina Hurricanes, Stanley Cup Final Game 1 (8:00 PM ET, ABC)
This is the one. Carolina was the East's top seed and has barely been tested, losing just one game across three rounds. Vegas got here the hard way and the hot way, sweeping the league-best Colorado Avalanche out of the Western Conference Final. Goaltending decides this series. Frederik Andersen has been a wall for the Canes, 12 wins in 13 starts with a 1.41 goals-against average and a .928 save percentage. Carter Hart, who joined Vegas midseason, stopped 118 of 125 shots in the West Final. Jack Eichel and his 90 regular-season points lead a deep Knights group against Sebastian Aho and a Carolina team that finally gets to host a Final. Game 1 sets the tone for everything that follows.

- Dodgers at Diamondbacks (9:40 PM ET). Los Angeles heads into the desert for an NL West night cap. Arizona has given the Dodgers trouble at home before, and this is the marquee baseball matchup on the board.
- Padres at Phillies (6:40 PM ET). Two clubs with October on the brain. San Diego is without Yu Darvish, so the rotation depth gets a test in a tough road park.
- Guardians at Yankees (7:05 PM ET). Cleveland's pitching against the Yankee lineup in the Bronx. Always a watchable American League night.
- Blue Jays at Braves (7:15 PM ET). Toronto visits Atlanta. The Braves at home are dangerous, and this one runs through the early baseball window.
- Aces at Sparks (10:00 PM ET). Vegas closes the night in Los Angeles. The Sparks are without Kelsey Plum and the Aces list Jewell Loyd as day-to-day, so both rotations will look different.
- Fire at Valkyries (10:00 PM ET). Two of the WNBA's newest teams meet on the West Coast. Golden State and Portland are both still building, and games like this are where the expansion era takes shape.
Start with the Cup Final, then let the baseball ride in the background until the WNBA tips off out West. One night, three leagues, and a trophy on the line in Raleigh.
