Manchester City have agreed to sign Ghana international Antoine Semenyo from Bournemouth for £65 million ($88 Million). The transfer awaits medical completion scheduled for Thursday, January 8, 2026. Documents have been signed between the clubs. City triggered Semenyo's release clause, which was active from January 1-10.
The 25-year-old winger agreed to a five-year contract worth approximately £150,000 per week. Semenyo scored a stoppage-time winner against Tottenham on Wednesday in his final Bournemouth appearance. The goal was his 10th Premier League strike in 20 appearances this season, placing him third in the league's scoring charts. Manchester City were the only club to formally contact Bournemouth despite interest from Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester United, and Tottenham. Bristol City will receive 20 percent of the profit, having sold Semenyo to Bournemouth for approximately £10 million in January 2023. Semenyo has recorded 30 goals in 106 appearances for Bournemouth across all competitions. The transfer represents one of the January window's largest deals as City strengthen their attacking options under Pep Guardiola.
