Adeniyi Mobolaji Kayode, 46, the driver of the Lexus SUV involved in a December 29 crash on Nigeria's Lagos-Ibadan Expressway that killed two members of Anthony Joshua's training team and injured the British boxer, was charged Friday at Sagamu Magistrate Court with four counts: dangerous driving causing death, reckless and negligent driving, driving without due care and attention causing bodily harm and damage to property, and driving without a valid national driver's license.

The vehicle collided with a stationary truck, killing Sina Ghami and Latif Ayodele while Joshua and Kayode sustained minor injuries; preliminary investigation by the Federal Road Safety Corps indicated the SUV was speeding and attempted wrongful overtaking before the crash. Kayode was granted bail of 5 million naira ($3,500) with two sureties and remains in detention pending bail conditions, with his next court appearance scheduled for January 20.
