The Palmes x Converse Jack Purcell PDM releases today, September 14, at $100 in two colorways: Parisian Night/Cloud Dancer, a blue suede build with a white stitched Palmes logo, and Mountain View/Cloud Dancer, a faded green canvas version with the same white branding. Both drop through Converse, the Copenhagen tennis label Palmes, and select retailers in-store and online. The PDM is a rebuild of the Jack Purcell to its 1970s construction, and this is the first collaborative pack on that version of the shoe.
Per SneakerNews, the adidas Anthony Edwards 3 "Cold Blooded" lands September 15 at $130, and September 18 brings the JAIDE Air Jordan 11 Low, the Nike Ja 4 "Jaws," the Nike Air Force 1 "Scream," the Air Foamposite Pro "Camo," and the LeBron 23 "Laser." The Mowalola x Air Jordan 14 "Burnt Red" shares that September 18 date at $255. The week closes September 19 with the Air Jordan 9 "Space Jam," the Kobe 8 "Mambacurial," and a new Pharrell adidas Jellyfish in brown and green.
Converse's SHAI 001 Lace Up "Cheetah" arrived at $120 on September 3.

NFL Week 1 ends tonight at Arrowhead Stadium, where the Denver Broncos visit the Kansas City Chiefs at 8:15 p.m. ET. The game airs on ABC, ESPN, ESPN2, ESPN Deportes and NFL+, with Joe Buck and Troy Aikman on the call and Lisa Salters and Laura Rutledge on the sideline, per the Chiefs. The ESPN scoreboard lists Kansas City as a 2.5-point favorite with a total of 43.5. It is the first regular-season game for Patrick Mahomes since he was fully cleared following ACL and LCL surgery in July.
Sunday's slate ran 12 games. Warner Bros.' Practical Magic 2 opened at No. 1 with $30 million domestic from 4,146 theaters and about $16 million from 77 international markets, for a worldwide opening near $46 million, the Associated Press reported. The opening ended a six-weekend run at No. 1 for Sony and Marvel's Spider-Man: Brand New Day, which took second with $8.4 million and has now grossed roughly $935.2 million domestically. Variety put the sequel's debut nearer $28 million.
Behind the top two: Universal's The Odyssey took $7.4 million, Angel Studios' Runner opened to $6.6 million across more than 2,500 theaters, and Ketchup Entertainment's Coyote vs. Acme took $6.2 million. Na Hong-jin's Hope opened eighth in North America with $3.3 million from 1,560 locations, following its run in South Korea.

Anthropic, OpenAI and Google have been holding working-group meetings since July on an industry-led AI standards body, The Washington Post reported, following a report on the talks originally published by The Information. The proposal covers shared protocols for testing frontier models before public release — independent evaluations, pre-release safety reviews and standardized risk assessments. Anthropic CEO Dario Amodei has made the public case for coordination, OpenAI CEO Sam Altman has told employees he supports a testing body, and Google DeepMind CEO Demis Hassabis proposed a FINRA-style structure on July 14. The labs differ on how much government involvement belongs in the arrangement.
Altman ruled out an OpenAI IPO in 2026 this weekend, citing safety work. Anthropic, for its part, has told investors it expects an IPO matching or exceeding SpaceX's $75 billion raise.
